So...News.

You may have noticed that you can't get your hands on the Night Wars books. You may have seen my Facebook posts and the like regarding my recent departure with the previous publisher of those books.

So, what's next? Well, what's next is I'm putting them back out in the world! Cover art and edits, formatting and all of that, are in progress. I'm currently in the proof stage of the Hanged Man's Ghost, so it'll be back up first.

 I'm going with a gray/silver/black theme for the reissue of the initial trilogy. I'm actually super happy with how the new covers are coming out.

Formatting is something I've gotten used to since putting out Let the Good Times Roll, so it's not too much of a hassle.

And then there's the Blight, well, formerly the Blight, now Troll Slayer. A shiny new cover and we'll get the formatting and all that sorted out soon as well.

News

First off, for my patient Night Wars fans, we just signed the contract for The Hellfire Legacy! So you'll be getting the next Fynn book by...April? I'm taking a stab in the dark on that one.

Sort of a blurb:

All those questions Fynn has been left with over the last two years are about to be answered. The forces that have been at play since before he was even born are ready to confront him. The truth behind his brother's coma, the truth behind the Division building attack, and the truth behind Cormac's interest in his family. A New Release and News

Today we see the release of The Eagle's Scheme, which is a sort of but not really follow up to The King's Dog about a lady knight named Joslin. This story introduces a new country and takes place after the events of The King's Dog, and hopefully illuminates some more of the political structures. I'm working another which will be from Germaine's POV and clear up some of Morraine's eccentricities.

Now, on to other news. First off, you may have noticed my announcements on FB and the Twitter, but I've recently contracted not one, but two new novels. The first of which is of course Death's Children, a sequel to The Grave Watchers, which is about a freshly risen watchwoman named Augustine Fleur under the loving guidance of our dear Sebastien. Expected release is sometime in January.

Now, the new news. I've contracted my very first YA novel! I've signed a contract with Prizm for a book called Vampirism and You! which follows the early days and confusion of a newly turned teenage vampire, Louis Von Graves. He has a handbook, a foster sire and a bad attitude. The displaced British native ends up in an American high school and hijinks ensue as he tries to figure out A) Should he feed on drama kids or cheerleaders B) Is he not attracted to human girls, or is it vampire girls to C) Should he wear false fangs while playing Dracula in the school play?

You'll get to go along for the ride as Louis navigates through a very dark world with a dose of humor, stoicism and lots of sarcasm.

As an aside, I'm considering starting a new blog for my YA stuff. Not sure just yet, seeing as I don't write anything with material I wouldn't have read as a teenager, but still. Thoughts and comments appreciated on this matter.

The Night Shift Release Day!

New Release - Crooked

A transfer to homicide, and new partner Zeke might just be the trick to getting Nicky away from the poisonous gangster.

But things aren't what they seem on the surface. Kavanagh isn't exactly human, Zeke isn't exactly a cop and Nicky might just start believing--in fairies.

When I came to, my hair was plastered to my head with cold water. My gun and badge were on a table in front of me and my head felt like an elephant had walked on it. Poisoned Spirits is out now for those of you in the ghostly mood.

Thursday night the sun set and we still had no leads on the whereabouts of the ATS. What we did have were three more confirmed victims in the hospital. Nobody had died yet, but Patience was surprised. We managed to find a bottle of poisoned liquor that hadn't been opened in the Domino Room and Patience worked her magic on it.

The stuff was meant to be deadly. So either our victims hadn't drunk enough of it, or it was only a matter of time before they started to die.

Before Billy died.

Jo-Jo seemed confident in her ability to keep him stable, but she's a six inch pixie. I was having trouble putting faith in her. I spent part of the day at Billy's side, hoping maybe he'd come out of it on his own.

But nothing changed.
